What if people want to return individually rather than as a group?
Single tickets are not available. Each person will need to buy a £3.00 or £2.80 ticket (see above).

What if I have a Bus Pass? Can I travel for free?
No. The free travel scheme was withdrawn in April.

Instead, Bus Pass Holders can buy a Discounted Return Group Ticket (valid for up to 5 people). This costs £1.50.

Full fares cost £3.00 return (or £2.80 return if you are only going as far as the hospital).

    Community and Voluntary Transport Schemes
Community and voluntary transport schemes supplement the public transport network by offering services tailored to the needs of people who may have difficulty in using - or are unable to use - ordinary buses and trains to undertake journeys others normally take for granted. Sometimes they can help other people too, such as those who do not have a public transport service in their locality. Most services operate on an as and when required basis and have to be booked in advance. They are there to help the community and are not operated for profit, though there will be a charge for using the service.

There are several different types of community transport schemes:

    * Minibuses operating a Dial-a-Ride (see dial-a-ride above)door to door service for individuals who experience difficulty with conventional public transport. Many of these services are operated by accessible vehicles.
    * Social car schemes, in which volunteers use their own cars to provide one-off essential journeys. These services are usually only available to people who are unable to use public transport or who do not have access to a car.
    * Group hire minibuses - often accessible, and made available on a group hire basis only, to local community organisations (rather than being booked for journeys by individual people). Sometimes they are self-drive, sometimes a driver may be available.
