KESGRAVE TOWN FIREWORKS DISPLAY

Don’t forget to get your tickets for this year's firework display, which will be held at Kesgrave Community Centre on Saturday 1st November. This will be the seventh display organised jointly between the Scouts and the PFA’s of the local primary schools; Heath, Cedarwood and Gorseland.

The gates will open at 5.00pm, and the fireworks display will be about 6.30pm. The fireworks will be let off professionally by the "The Firework Emporium"' on Foxhall Road and the display is going to cost over £5000. This year we have again increased the amount spent on the fireworks to ensure we maintain the standard of the display. There will be drinks, sweets and luminous toys for sale and music to entertain the crowd. Stalls may also be run by any local organisation to raise funds for themselves. Please contact Celia Comber (622185) for details.

Tickets will be limited. The last admission will be at 6.15pm, then the gates will be closed until after the display. Ticket holders should enter via the gates at the main entrance and by the Library. Access to the event will be on foot only, there will be no car parking available at the Community Centre except for disabled persons.

Before the day tickets will be £6.00 per person or £20 for a family of 4 and include a hot dog or burger. Tickets without food will also be available at £5.00 per person or £18 for a family of 4. On the day the cost will be £6.00 per person without food and entry will only be available at the at the bus lane entrance at the front of the community centre. Children aged 3 and under are free but no food will be provided.

After 1 October tickets will be available from Christine's Pantry at Penzance Road Post Office, 2nd Stop Shop and the Firework Emporium. The Primary schools will also be sending home letters to enable tickets to be purchased from the PFA’s. The profits from the event will be split equally between the Scouts and the Primary Schools involved. Last year each organisation received just over £2,000 towards their funds.
