Community Sports Hall
The new Kesgrave Community Centre Sports Hall opened in 2007 is well supported and provides access to a variety of indoor sports. Wednesday evenings is reserved specifically for young people and various activities are arranged throughout the year which are determined by the young people themselves.
The idea is to get young people to try a new sport and then create a club around it and then move the club on to another time, freeing up the Wednesday slot for new users. So far this has generated a Basketball Club which now meets on a Sunday with over 24 members. We hope to repeat this with other groups of young people in the future.
