Mobile Skate Park Project - Volunteers Required
The Mobile Skate Park project is looking more likely to go ahead. One volunteer has come forward to receive the skate park coaching qualification and to offer his services for the Spring Half Term Holiday – but we could do with another one or two volunteers.
If you will be available during the half term (Whitsun Week), have an interest in Skateboarding and2 would like to get a recognised qualification in the subject plus First Aid and Safeguarding, then please let us know as soon as possible by calling 625179 or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
You must be at least 17 years old to attain this qualification. We are negotiating with SK8 Safe who will deliver the Coach Education course on behalf of the Skateboarding governing body in Kesgrave over the Easter Period, dates will be available by the time you read this. This would be the first course to be held in the Eastern Region and means that applicants would not have to travel far to do the course. People can also get in touch if they want to attend the course but are not able to commit to volunteering for us, they can sign up for the course but would have to fund themselves at a cost of £210 per person.
Also, if you do not want to be the Coach, unqualified volunteers can help during the holiday programme but we would need to ensure any volunteers are suitable to work with children and young people.
