Craft Activities:

The following craft activities will be taking place on Sundays between 10.00am and 12.00 noon during March:

  • 5th – We're going up, up and away in our Dr Seuss inspired hot air balloons;
  • 12th – Have you heard of Neil the puffin? He has lots of adventures with Polly in their stories. Come along and make a puffin with us;
  • 19th – It's World Meteorological Day on 23rd March and we will be creating weather clocks to celebrate;
  • 26th – Make fingerprint flowers for someone special this Mother's Day.

Activities are free. Parents must stay with under eights. There’s no need to book, just turn up and have a go.

Every Thursday (term time only) Tot Rock from 9.45am to 10.15 am; BabyBounce from 10.30am to 11.00am.

Every Friday (term time only) Story Time – every Friday from 9.45am to 10.15am.

Other Library Events for March

  • Wednesday 1st – Knit and Natter at 2.30pm – £1.00 – tea, coffee and biscuits provided.
  • Thursday 2nd – Afternoon Book Group at 2.45pm. We are currently reading Two Brothers by Ben Elton; Adult Colouring at 7.00pm, £2.00 – tea, coffee, biscuits and all equipment provided.
  • Thursday 16th – Evening Book Group at 7.00pm. This group is reading Entry Island by Peter May.

There are IT Help Sessions on Saturday 25th March from 10.00am to 1.00pm. If you would like some help with your technology – iPads, smart phones, tablets, eBooks, computers or need some general guidance using the internet and computers please phone up and speak to a member of staff about booking one of our half-hour slots.

Thursday 2nd March at 7.00pm. The library is holding a Body Shop Party to help raise funds. Why not pop along and get organised for Mother’s Day? If you are unable to attend, orders can be left with staff before the event.

Used Stamps/coins – Can you help to  raise funds for St Elizabeth’s Hospice? Just bring along your used stamps and old coins and hand in to staff, it’s as easy as that!

New Card Range – Why note pop along and look at the new range of cards we now have?

Our Community Group is launching a 100 Club to help with fund-raising. For just £1.00 per month you could enter and have a chance of winning a cash prize plus knowing you are supporting your local library. Watch out for posters and details about how to sign up.
