Dangerous and Illegal Parking in Kesgrave
Working with Suffolk Constabulary and in conjunction with community partnership work with the Police Community Support Officer for Kesgrave, the Town Council would respectfully wish to remind some local residents to take extra care and have more consideration when parking vehicles near to their properties or when visiting family and friends around Kesgrave. For example, parking on grass verges and on the corners of the public highway can cause visibility issues to other vehicles. This is not only dangerous but, in some cases, it is also illegal.
Please also consider visibility issues and avoid parking on public footways and grass verges – which could potentially endanger the life of pedestrians including young children, babies in prams and pushchairs and disabled or less able members of the community.
There have been a number of complaints from concerned local residents. Please consider other people when parking and use driveways or garages whenever practicable. We are aware that some households have more than one car and that driveways can sometimes be small, but please also be aware that Suffolk Constabulary are taking a “zero-tolerance” approach in this regard.
