Bus Shelters and Service to the Hospital
Back in November I asked whether anyone struggled to get to or from Ipswich Hospital by bus. I also asked whether residents would make use of a bus service to the Garrett Anderson Centre bus stops in the Hospital grounds if this was provided. The answer was a resounding “yes”. I received letters and also petitions from people asking for such services. Thank you to everyone who wrote or signed a petition. I have now approached our local bus operator First, about this and will provide an update at a later date.
Another issue which has been raised is that of bus shelters. Does your local bus stop need a bus shelter? Waiting at bus stops in the wind and the rain can be unpleasant and we would like to try and provide more shelters in Kesgrave where needed and where feasible. Can you please let me know the locations of bus stops where a shelter is needed and for which direction of travel (Eastbound and/or Westbound)? We plan to discuss bus shelters with the County Council in March.
