Road Works - Beech Road Traffic Lights Junction (Now 4 Weeks) - 14 Aug - 9 Sep – 5.30am, Mon to Sat

The existing traffic signals will be upgraded at the Beech Road and Woodbridge Road junction. The shared footpath will be extended and the junction will be resurfaced. NB The work has now been extended to 4 weeks because SCC have decided to resurface a much larger area of carriageway.

New Bus Service into Ipswich Hospital - 68 Bus - 3 Jul

First Bus has agreed to run a new bus service to the Garrett Anderson Centre in Ipswich Hospital grounds starting 3 Jul. At the moment this will be an off-peak service on Mondays to Saturdays between approximately 10am – 2.50pm.

Changes to bus numbers 63, 64, 65, 66 and Martlesham Park & Ride - 2 Jul

There are a number of changes to the 63, 64, 65 and 66 Buses from 2 Jul. Also Martlesham Park and Ride service (the 800 bus) will operate on a commercial basis. From 3rd July there will be an additionally stop at Kesgrave Fisheries bus stop and one bus per hour at off peak times will extend beyond the Park and Ride site to Rendlesham. After 7pm the route 66 bus will call additionally at Martlesham Park & Ride.

Advisory Letter - Parking In The Area Of Kesgrave High School

Some drivers are committing No Waiting or Obstruction offences by stopping in bus stops, on the combined footpath / cycle path or in the keep clear area at the main gate. In some of these cases, a further offence is being committed by driving on the footpath. These drivers are causing an unacceptable risk to others.

1 in 3 burglaries are because homes are left insecure

More than a third of reported residential burglaries in April and May this year were as a result of an insecure door or window and Suffolk Police are urging residents to keep windows and doors locked to prevent becoming an ‘easy’ target for thieves during the summer months.
