An article has been placed in the February issue of Kesgrave News updating everyone on the position regarding the development of the area known as FF (Application number C09/1269). It reads as follows: "Land between Cedarwood School and Fentons Wood. The application for this site was first considered some months ago and the decision date set by Suffolk Coastal has been extended three times. This is not unheard of for a big application such as this. Negotiations take place between the developer and the planning authority when consultee responses have been received, and in that way the developer often adapts the plans to meet some of the points raised. In this case a revised plan has been presented to Suffolk Coastal during January and because of the numbers of comments received the first time round, they are open to consultation again. The plans reduce the number of dwellings from 53 to 48 and have included some affordable housing units and a number of 2 bed properties. If you are interested in this application and want to see the revised plans they will be available at the Town Council office and Suffolk Coastal shortly." As many people will know articles for the magazine have to be written over a week before the end of the month and so the exact date when the plans will be available to view is at present uncertain. It is hoped to have them before the February Town Council meeting (8th February) and for a draft response to Suffolk Coastal to be agreed at a Planning and Development meeting on 15th February. Please ring the Town Council Office or email for further information. Suffolk Coastal confirm it is hoped to consider the application at the 4th March Development Control Sub-Committee Meeting in order that their decision on the application can meet the agreed extended target date of 11th March. 25 Jan 2010
